Event Recap: Preventing Panic – Supporting Change with Clarity, Not Chaos
📅 Thursday, March 12, 2026 | 📍 Rutgers University

We had a fantastic and engaging session at Preventing Panic: Supporting Change with Clarity, Not Chaos, bringing together colleagues from across institutions to explore how we can better navigate change with intention, clarity, and consistency.

A very special and heartfelt thank you to Joe Rotella for delivering such a dynamic and impactful experience. Joe’s ability to break down complex organizational challenges into practical, actionable strategies truly resonated with attendees. From reinforcing the importance of shared goals and clear expectations to emphasizing the role of consistent communication and accountability, his insights provided meaningful takeaways that participants can immediately apply within their own teams and institutions.

We are also incredibly grateful to MiViva for their generous sponsorship and continued support of professional development initiatives. Their commitment to helping organizations strengthen performance management and leadership effectiveness played an important role in making this event possible.

Session Highlights:

  • The morning session focused on how clarity, structure, and alignment can reduce uncertainty and prevent disruption from turning into panic.

  • The afternoon session built on that foundation, guiding participants through how to effectively communicate the why, what, and how of change in ways that drive real behavioral shifts—not just temporary buy-in.

Overall, the day was filled with thoughtful discussion, shared experiences, and practical tools to support sustainable change across our institutions.
