Want to get more involved with New Jersey CUPA-HR, but not quite ready to join the Board? The Champion Program may be the perfect place to start!
The New Jersey CUPA-HR Champion Program creates opportunities for members who want to become more involved in our chapter, contribute their talents, and build meaningful connections within New Jersey’s higher education HR community.
Champions work alongside members of our Board of Directors to support chapter initiatives, events, member engagement, and other projects throughout the year. It’s an opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at chapter leadership while contributing in ways that align with your interests, strengths, and availability.
Why Become a Champion?
As a Champion, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Get involved without the full commitment of a Board position
- Build relationships with HR colleagues across New Jersey colleges and universities
- Share your skills, ideas, and perspective to help strengthen our chapter
- Gain leadership and volunteer experience through meaningful chapter initiatives
- Explore future Board service and learn more about how our chapter operates
Our hope is that the Champion Program becomes a pathway to leadership for members who may eventually be interested in serving on the New Jersey CUPA-HR Board of Directors.
Who Should Become a Champion?
You don’t need to have previous Board experience or a specific title. We’re looking for members who are curious, collaborative, and excited to contribute.
