Join the Eastern PA/DE CUPA-HR Chapter for an in-person spring event focused on connection, conversation, and shared learning across higher education HR.

We’ll gather on April 21st at Saint Joseph’s University for a full-day experience featuring two speaker sessions (morning and afternoon), with lunch provided.

This event is designed to bring together HR professionals from across the region to exchange ideas, share perspectives, and strengthen our community in a collaborative, in-person setting.

Morning Session

Presenter: John Manion, CSB
Topic: Three Things Colleges Need to Know for Benefits, 2026 and Beyond

The morning session will focus on key trends and strategic considerations institutions should be preparing for as they look ahead to 2026. Topics will include:

  • Prescription drug (Rx) plan trends and cost drivers
  • Analysis of medical delivery systems and platforms
  • Claims mitigation strategies and approaches to managing high-cost claims

 

Lunch Session

Presenter: Theresa McFalls, Saint Joseph’s University
Affiliation: Kinney Center for Autism Education and Support

During lunch, Theresa McFalls will highlight Saint Joseph’s University’s new classes focused on Neurodiversity in the Workplace. This session will explore how institutions can increase awareness, build inclusive workplace practices, and better support neurodivergent individuals through education and applied learning.

Afternoon Session

Presenter: Kelley DeLara, PageUp

The afternoon session will focus on the strategic shift in Talent Acquisition for 2026, focusing on how organizations are moving from AI experimentation to integrated human-centric ecosystems. The core topics will include the following:

  • Scaling AI for Impact
  • Eliminating low-value tasks using AI while keeping humans at the center of hiring 
  • Strategic TA Orchestration

Session Highlights:

Organizational objectives continue to change significantly, and swiftly. Despite wellbeing being a priority, issues related to stress and burnout continue to erode wellbeing, resiliency, trust, and employee engagement while concerns around attracting and retaining talent are at an all-time high.

In this session, we will explore:

  • How physical, emotional, financial, and career wellbeing all connect and impact overall organizational wellbeing.
  • The power of culture, trust, recognition, and leader influence and their impact on talent, DEI, and employee wellbeing.
  • The growing incidence of loneliness and how social connectedness is impacting performance and health.
  • How employers are responding and discuss HR for HR – how we can support each other as a community.

Reimagining HR for the Post-COVID World
