Are you looking to expand your professional network, leadership abilities and build your resume? Consider joining an engaged group of HR professionals as we seek to promote the field of higher education human resources by becoming an At-Large member of the Missouri CUPA-HR Board of Directors. 

We have At-Large Board positions available for the upcoming term, and we are currently accepting nominations. Of these positions, there are two opportunities to lead important initiatives for the board: At-Large Technology Coordinator and At-Large Professional Development Coordinator.

At-Large Board Member appointments are two (2) years in duration, and this appointment will commence on July 1, 2026, and continue through June 30, 2028. At large board Members, by written definition, perform special projects as assigned by the Chapter president and/or Board. Membership on the board includes the following expectations: 

  • Attend all membership and Board meetings. We usually meet at least once a month (meetings are scheduled for 90 minutes but typically last 60 minutes).
  • Attend annual board development and planning session. Travel is reimbursed by chapter and the session is typically 6 hours in the month of June. Location is determined by most central meeting location of current board members. Participate in the development and implementation of short-term and long term strategies and goals for the chapter and ensure their accomplishment. Identify potential and new leaders. 
  • Represent the chapter in the Human Resources community. 
  • Represent MCUPA-HR at the Missouri Annual Conference in September, if feasible.
