PAST EVENTS
The Spring 2025 SNECUPA Conference was a sold out-out event and a great success. One participant noted "Loved to connect with other people in Higher Ed. Topics were great and very informative, especially regarding what is going on in Higher Ed now."
It was held on April 10, 2025 at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI, bringing together colleagues from southern New England for a day of learning and connection. Over 100 attendees joined, featuring a CHRO panel on the evolving HR landscape in higher education, a keynote speaker from Jackson Lewis and series of informative breakout sessions.

We are excited to share we held one of the most well-attended virtual webinar in the last few years with over 150 registered participants on Getting Comfortable with Conflict and Enhancing Psychological Safety led by Allison M. Vaillancourt, PhD, Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness and Charlotte Chandler, Associate Consultant at Segal on November 7, 2024!
Speaker Bios:
Allison M. Vaillancourt, PhD, Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness
Allison M. Vaillancourt, PhD consults with dozens of colleges and universities each year in her role as a vice president in Segal's organizational effectiveness practice. Prior to joining Segal in 2020, she was the Vice President for Business Affairs and Human Resources at the University of Arizona and a faculty member in Arizona’s School of Government and Public Policy. She is a past chair of CUPA-HR's national board of directors and says that she learned several valuable lessons about navigating conflict while leading the process to transition CUPA-HR from five regions to four.
Charlotte Chandler, Associate Consultant
As an associate consultant in Segal’s organizational effectiveness practice, Charlotte Chandler works with colleges and universities, corporate entities, and public sector agencies. Her consulting engagements are diverse and include organizational and operational assessments, workplace culture reviews, talent strategy development, and performance management program design. Before joining Segal, Charlotte was a member of the global HR team at one of the world’s largest insurance companies.
