Nevada Chapter CUPA-HR 2024-2025 Execuitve Board Nominations and Election

Nominations will be accepted until May 1, 2024, 11:59 pm.

 

The CUPA-HR Nevada Chapter is seeking Board members for our open positions, including:

 

  • Member-At-Large (Multiple positions available) (1-year term)
  • Northern Nevada Program and Sponsorship Coordinator (2-year term)
  • Southern Nevada Program and Sponsorship Coordinator (2-year term)
  • Northern Nevada Membership Coordinator (2-year term)
  • Chapter President-Elect (1-year term, 3-year commitment)

 

Please take a moment to fill out the nomination form for the 2024-2025 CUPA-HR Nevada Chapter. Anyone that is part of a member organization of the CUPA-HR Nevada Chapter can be nominated. You can nominate yourself or another individual. Please check with the individual before nominating them.

 

Each position that is available is listed below with a short description of duties. You can check a maximum of 3 positions for which you are nominating yourself or another. Please make sure to provide specific examples of your experience as related to the position applying for. a or are nominating another person for the open Board position(s). Incomplete forms will not be accepted as a nomination.

 

Nominations will be accepted until May 1, 2024, 11:59 pm.

 

The Board meets virtually once per month for 1 hour, generally the 2nd Tuesday of each month year round. Additional meetings are scheduled as programming and events are planned, with a commitment of approximately to 3-4 hours per month. Board members are expected to attend all general meetings and appropriate sub-committee meetings. We advise a nominee to speak to their supervisor about the time commitment and attendance at Chapter, Regional, and National events. The Chapter President is expected to represent the Chapter at a minimum of one national event. Attendance at some events or conferences may require travel, room, and board funded by the Board Member’s institution.

April 2023 Event - Virtual Chapter Conference "Re-Engaging Team Members Begins Within"

Join us on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 for a virtual conference with Dr. Gillian Silver-Rodis as she shares how to re-engage team members with insightful tips on connecting to the Mission and Values of the organization, building strong relationships, understanding generational uniqueness, leveraging compassion, and nurturing your mental well-being at work. Dr. Silver-Rodis will also moderate a panel of Chief Human Resources Officers about what they are doing to engage team members and host a Q &A for the audience. In addition, attendees will be entered into a drawing to win a scholarship for the 50% of the registration to the National CUPA-HR Conference in October 2023 in New Orleans, LA (rules apply).

The event objectives:

  • To recognize opportunities to leverage motivational theory—change and enthusiasm begins within
  • To contemplate how we can help ourselves and others to re-charge our energy levels.
  • To capitalize on trends/new content in occupational leadership literature.
  • To create an opportunity for an interactive, real-time application through a small group break-out activity.

The keynote speaker for this event is Dr. Gillian Silver-Rodis. Dr. Gillian Silver holds a doctorate degree in organizational leadership and a master's in management, with an emphasis in human resources and organizational behavior. She has consulted, built strategic plans and taught in the area of recruitment, employee motivation and development, and the opportunities to leverage the enthusiasm and intellect of human capital. Dr. Silver is the founder and director of the CSN Leadership Academy and a tenured member of the CSN community. She has been recognized by many organizations for instructional expertise at the doctorate, graduate and undergraduate level.
