The CUPA-HR Nevada Chapter is seeking Board members for our open positions:
  • Chapter President-Elect (1-year term, 3-year commitment - Professional HR role prerequisite)
  • Treasurer - (2-year term)
  • Secretary - (2-year term)
  • Program and Sponsorship Coordinator (1-year term)
  • Membership Coordinator (1-year term)
  • At-Large Member (1-year term)

Anyone that is part of a member organization of the CUPA-HR Nevada Chapter can be nominated. Term for elected board members begin July 1, 2025

Anyone that is part of a member organization of the CUPA-HR and/or works for a higher education institution in Nevada can be nominated.  Your role must include primary HR duties to be considered for Officer positions:

You can nominate yourself or another individual. Please check with the individual before nominating them. Each position that is available is listed in the nomination form with a short description of duties. You can select a maximum of 3 positions for which you are nominating yourself or another. Please make sure to provide specific examples of your HR experience as related to the position applying for or are nominating another person for the open Board position(s). Incomplete forms will not be accepted as a nomination.

CUPA-HR- Nevada Chapter, invites human resource professionals and collaborative higher education partners to join us, in-person, for a day of knowledge development, networking, and enjoyment.

The conference will deliver valuable tools and insight to thrive in 2025. This conference will kick off with continental breakfast and dynamic speakers, including Dr. Ericka Smith, Vice President, Human Resources/Chief People Officer, Dr. Lawrence Weekly, Executive Director of Governmental Affairs & Chief Diversity Officer, and Senior Associate General Counsel, Lynda King. The College and University Professional Association – Human Resources (CUPA-HR) Nevada Chapter presents "Re-Engaging Team Members Begins Within".

April 2023 Event - Virtual Chapter Conference "Re-Engaging Team Members Begins Within"

Join us on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 for a virtual conference with Dr. Gillian Silver-Rodis as she shares how to re-engage team members with insightful tips on connecting to the Mission and Values of the organization, building strong relationships, understanding generational uniqueness, leveraging compassion, and nurturing your mental well-being at work. Dr. Silver-Rodis will also moderate a panel of Chief Human Resources Officers about what they are doing to engage team members and host a Q &A for the audience. In addition, attendees will be entered into a drawing to win a scholarship for the 50% of the registration to the National CUPA-HR Conference in October 2023 in New Orleans, LA (rules apply).

The event objectives:

  • To recognize opportunities to leverage motivational theory—change and enthusiasm begins within
  • To contemplate how we can help ourselves and others to re-charge our energy levels.

The keynote speaker for this event is Dr. Gillian Silver-Rodis. Dr. Gillian Silver holds a doctorate degree in organizational leadership and a master's in management, with an emphasis in human resources and organizational behavior. She has consulted, built strategic plans and taught in the area of recruitment, employee motivation and development, and the opportunities to leverage the enthusiasm and intellect of human capital. Dr. Silver is the founder and director of the CSN Leadership Academy and a tenured member of the CSN community. She has been recognized by many organizations for instructional expertise at the doctorate, graduate and undergraduate level.
