Registration:

Presenter Registration: $15
Early Registration (by May 1): $25
Regular Registration (by May 29): $40
Late / In-Person Registration: $50

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected].

  • Cancellations received on or before May 29 (14 days prior to the June 12 conference) will receive a full refund of the registration fee.
  • Cancellations received after May 29 are non-refundable; however, registrations may be transferred to another individual from the same institution at no additional charge.
  • No refunds will be issued for no-shows.

If Lone Star CUPA-HR must cancel the conference due to unforeseen circumstances, registrants will receive a full refund of registration fees. The chapter is not responsible for travel, lodging, or other incidental expenses.

All approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days.

This was a dynamic full-day conference designed for higher education HR professionals, where innovation met impact. Participants connected with peers through networking opportunities, gained insights from industry experts, and explored strategies to drive meaningful progress in their institutions.

Exciting session topics included:

  • AI in Higher Education – LinkedIn presented a session that included strategies for implementing AI effectively in the HR context
  • Leadership Development – Panelists from TCU and Houston Community College will share their leadership development program journey. Participants had the opportunity to engage with our panelists and each other to build their leadership development toolkit.

Forward Together: Thriving through the Great Resignation 

Date: November 4, 2022 at Tarrant County College, 300 Trinity Campus Circle, Fort Worth, 76102

During this in-person event we held a panel discussion that explored the strategies higher education institutions use to manage the significant impact of the full employment cycle that has been turned upside down. We discussed why individuals are seeking other opportunities and how each of us can assist our respective institutions to recruit, develop, engage, and retain talent.

During this in person event we were able to provide Human Resources professionals a panel discussion along with an opportunity to network and exchange ideas with colleagues during a light breakfast.

Panelists included the following distinguished higher education professionals:

Virtual Connect & Learn

Date: May 9, 2023

Participants came together with fellow higher education HR professionals to learn from one another. Using feedback from surveys, spaces were created for attendees to break into subtopic groups based on their interests and preferences. These groups provided an opportunity to share best practices, discuss challenges, and build meaningful connections.

Shhhhh!! Why is everything so quiet? - The Quiet Movement

The CUPA-HR Lone Star Chapter hosted an engaging discussion on the "Quiet Movement" that emerged in the wake of the 2020 pandemic and influenced organizational recruitment and retention strategies. This forum provided a valuable opportunity for HR colleagues to exchange their experiences related to quiet quitting, firing, hiring, and thriving.
