President‑Elect Opportunity – Kansas CUPA‑HR Board of Directors

Are you looking to expand your professional network, strengthen your leadership skills, and enhance your résumé? Consider joining a dedicated group of HR professionals committed to advancing the field of higher education human resources by serving as President‑Elect of the Kansas CUPA‑HR Board of Directors.

This voluntary leadership role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about CUPA‑HR’s mission and eager to make a meaningful impact within the higher education HR community. The President‑Elect supports the current President, becomes familiar with the responsibilities of the office, and contributes to guiding the chapter’s strategic initiatives. This position is a three‑year leadership commitment that begins with service as President‑Elect, transitions to President in the subsequent term, and concludes with service as Past President.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborating with the President and Board members to advance organizational goals and initiatives
  • Actively participating in monthly Board meetings and decision‑making
  • Assisting with the planning of programs, events, and committee work, as needed
  • Preparing to assume the role of President in the following term
  • Representing Kansas CUPA‑HR within the HR community
  • Representing Kansas CUPA‑HR at the Annual Conference, if possible.

Ideal Candidates Will Demonstrate:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • An interest in leadership development and board governance
  • A commitment to teamwork, inclusivity, and CUPA‑HR’s mission
  • Availability to serve a multi‑year leadership term (President‑Elect, President, and Past President)
