Welcome to the Tennessee Chapter of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources. We’re glad you’ve decided to check out our website which is provided to share information about our chapter and keep you informed of the opportunities we offer.

The primary vehicles we use to enhance your contact with other Tennessee human resource professionals are our seminars/workshops or conferences, offered spring and fall, and our listserv, used to ask questions or seek advice from others in the college and university HR field.

The continued success of our joint conference with the Kentucky Chapter led us to decide to have another in the spring of 2012 in Nashville. Be on the lookout for information about that conference!  These conferences provide the opportunity to network with other HR professionals and meet providers of HR services and products.  The conferences are an excellent, low-cost way to reward and develop members of your HR staff who may not normally have the opportunity to attend conferences.

If you’re not already a member, joining the Tennessee Chapter is easy and inexpensive!  FREE if your institution is a member of the national CUPA-HR!  If your institution is not a member of the national organization, an institutional membership is only $100 for five individuals from your institution.  Additional members can be added for only $25 – the same as an individual membership.

I am excited about serving as your President this year and look forward to meeting or talking with each of you during that time. Please consider joining our chapter, if you are not already a member. If you are a current member, please share your experiences with your friends in the human resources professions and ask them to join us too. Let’s all work together toward a common goal of better serving our employees in the future.
