2020 Spring Workshop

Hello Corporate Sponsors, Presenters, Conference Attendees, and SC CUPA-HR Members!

I hope this message finds you well.

After much discussion and consideration, the SC CUPA-HR Board of Directors has decided to cancel our 2020 Spring Workshop.  Many agencies continue to monitor COVID-19. While Clemson University, our host institution does not have any confirmed cases, safety is a top concern. University officials continue to closely monitor COVID-19 and are actively engaged in daily planning in an effort to inform and reduce the risk to faculty, staff, students and visitors from the virus. On Friday, March 6th the following information was sent to our campus.

All international travel has been suspended. The university has provided updated guidance and procedures for domestic travel.

  • Clemson has suspended all international travel.
  • We discourage non-essential domestic travel.
  • All future travel should be booked through university’s contracted travel agent.
  • Definition of “essential” travel will be determined on the department level.

Lisa Gagnon, SC CUPA-HR Treasurer, will be processing refunds of payments for registrations and sponsorships in the upcoming days.  If your agency mailed in checks for payment(s), it will be returned to you via mail this week.

There were some excellent topics submitted for presentation consideration during the workshop; the board will review the topics and submissions and consider them for the 2020 Fall Conference, which will be held in Hilton Head Island, SC September 20th – 22nd.

If you have any questions, please let me know.  Thank you again for your support of our SC CUPA-HR events!  We will see you soon.
