2019 Spring Elections

CUPA-HR Oregon Chapter Elections will be held during the Spring 2019 Conference for the following board positions:

The President-Elect shall serve as the special aide to the President, and shall assume all presidential duties in the absence of the President. The President-elect serves as Chair of the Program Planning Committee charged with planning and implementing the annual conferences and meetings of the chapter. This position is a three year commitment as the President-Elect moves to the President position in their 2nd year and Past-President in their third year. The Board Member-at-Large: Treasure-Elect shall Assist the Treasurer to ensure that the Chapter operates on sound fiscal principles and prepare to take responsibility for ensuring that the Chapter operates on sound fiscal principles during the second year of their tenure. The Treasurer-Elect shall assist the Treasurer with all chapter financial record keeping; building relationships with sponsors to generate interest; and work closely with Treasurer to gain skills and knowledge to prepare for role as Treasurer. The Board Member-at-Large: Communications Coordinator   shall prepare and maintain all the communications for the chapter including website maintenance, social media posts, e mail responses, list serv maintenance, marketing materials, and conference registration.  The Communications Coordinator assists with the planning and operations of all chapter conferences and events. Please consider that in order to be run for an elected board member position the following applies:

  • You must be listed as a representative of a higher education institution that is a member of the CUPA-HR national organization.
  • You must be an employee of a post-secondary educational institution in Oregon.
  • You must be a human resource professional who is currently in the field with no less than 50% of her/his job devoted to human resources activities.
  • You must be willing to demonstrate commitment to the Chapter and its activities and provide leadership that is consistent with CUPA-HR’s commitment to providing equal opportunity for participation in all aspects of the organization without regard to race, religion, gender, national/ethnic origin, sexual orientation, age, veteran, disabled status or any other protected status category.
