Board members engage with and support colleagues across New Jersey\u2019s higher education institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"854\" data-end=\"857\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"859\" data-end=\"881\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Position Summaries<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"883\" data-end=\"1200\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong data-start=\"883\" data-end=\"912\">Secretary (Two-Year Term)<\/strong><\/span><br data-start=\"912\" data-end=\"915\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000\">Records official actions of the Board and membership, including agendas, attendance, and meeting minutes. Manages chapter records, email and Google accounts, creates surveys, orders supplies, assists with communications, and supports event logistics including attendance and name tags.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1202\" data-end=\"1602\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong data-start=\"1202\" data-end=\"1257\">Director of Engagement and Outreach (Two-Year Term)<\/strong><\/span><br data-start=\"1257\" data-end=\"1260\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000\">Leads efforts to increase awareness and engagement across New Jersey institutions. Welcomes and connects with new members, reviews membership lists, supports outreach to non-member institutions, and strengthens partnerships with neighboring chapters (Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New York). This role also supports emerging leader development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1604\" data-end=\"1906\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong data-start=\"1604\" data-end=\"1658\">Treasurer-Elect (At-Large) (Three-Year Commitment)<\/strong><\/span><br data-start=\"1658\" data-end=\"1661\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000\">Serves as the first year of a three-year financial leadership track. Assists with managing the chapter budget, processing payments, working with sponsors, and preparing the annual financial report, ensuring continuity in the Treasurer\u2019s absence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1908\" data-end=\"2083\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong data-start=\"1908\" data-end=\"1961\">At-Large Board Members (Preferably Two-Year Term)<\/strong><\/span><br data-start=\"1961\" data-end=\"1964\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000\">Supports program and event planning and helps cultivate sponsor relationships to expand the chapter\u2019s reach and impact.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2085\" data-end=\"2088\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"2090\" data-end=\"2229\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong data-start=\"2090\" data-end=\"2118\">Eligibility Requirement:<\/strong><\/span><br data-start=\"2118\" data-end=\"2121\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000\">Board members must be employed in a Human Resources role at an institution that is a current education institution that is a member of the CUPA-HR national organization and that is supportive of this nomination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additionally, all board and non-board members are expected to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Show commitment to the New Jersey Chapter and its activities by participating in monthly board meetings and attending Chapter events (in-person and virtually);<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with and support board member colleagues in completion of their responsibilities;<\/li>\n<li>Ensures smooth transition of information when transitioning between board roles or departing the board;<\/li>\n<li>Takes an active role in recruiting colleagues to join the Chapter board and our Champion Program;<\/li>\n<li>Honors our Board Values: accountability, honesty &amp; integrity, respect, teamwork &amp; collaboration, fun, empathy &amp; empathetic leadership, and clear &amp; transparent communication.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Chapter board and
