CUPA-HR New Jersey Chapter is excited to announce its February 2023 Session, revisiting a format that we launched during the previous program year:<\/p>\n

Navigating the High Seas of Staffing<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Join us for a guided discussion and networking session that is designed to allow our chapter to reconnect and open up about the issues that are currently facing our HR offices. Members of the current and past Executive Board will lead breakout sessions on the following topics:<\/em><\/p>\n

“Welcome Aboard”<\/strong> – Opening Remarks<\/span> – President Elect, Jocelyne Kwiecinski<\/em><\/p>\n

“Icebergs Ahead”<\/strong> –\u00a0 \u00a0Recruitment & Retention<\/u> – Past President Joy Hayward –<\/em> Breakout Session I<\/p>\n

  1. Obstacles<\/span> – Increased vacancies, smaller candidate pool, challenging roles to fill.<\/li>\n
  2. Creative Solutions<\/span> – Discussion on how we are combating the challenges in NJ<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    “Smooth Sailing”\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>–\u00a0 Best Practices Across the State<\/u> – President Meaghan Lenahan – <\/em>Breakout Session II<\/p>\n

    1. \u00a0Reorganizations\/Right-Sizing<\/u> – How are your institutions taking a critical look at how resources are allocated in order to better address needs?<\/li>\n
    2. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Succession planning<\/u> –\u00a0 What are some challenges\/successes you have seen with succession planning so far?<\/li>\n
    3. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Morale <\/u>– How are we managing employee morale? For employees outside of HR and also for our own HR teams (and ourselves!)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      “Muster Drill”<\/strong> – Wrap-up and Questions<\/p>\n

      Participants will get to meet new and existing members to vocalize their triumphs and tribulations from the past year. We are excited to bring the chapter together to facilitate this discussion and allow some virtual \u201cface-time\u201d for our chapter.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
