During this very interactive session, participants will review higher ed employee engagement data from the Gallup organization and discuss the key drivers that help faculty and staff be more engaged. Participants will also identify ways that campuses can focus on these key drivers to not only impact employee engagement, but the engagement and well-being of our students.

The landscape of the higher education workforce is in the midst of tremendous change – driven by several key factors, including: Large reduction of the baby-boomer workforce through retirement, dominance of the millennial workforce, continued fast-pace of change in technology and its implications on the workforce, economic impacts across higher education demanding more affordability, less debt and faster times to degrees and the corresponding impacts on the workforce, an uncertain and changing regulatory environment. This session will provide an overview of leading strategies that many colleges and universities are relying on to confront the many changes impacting their current and future workforce. The workshop will provide both strategic and pragmatic approaches for addressing the shifts in the higher education workforce.
