Angie Loving, Associate Director of Human Resource Management, University of Kansas
Angie Loving has worked in higher education administration with a focus in human resources for over 20 years. She currently serves as the Associate Director of Human Resources and has core responsibilities in leading the University of Kansas in the areas of recruitment, employment, compensation, organizational development, shared services and payroll. Her 16 years of experience at KU has been in areas of Human Resources, Finance and Research. In her work she strives to build partnerships, create efficiencies, develops policies, solves difficult issues, and works with units across campus and the community to build a more inclusive and diverse workforce and culture. Prior to KU, Angie worked with the Utah System of Higher Education and the Utah State Board of Regents in HR Management, Finance, and Capital Facilities and legislative requests.
Lisa Gartland, Employment Services Manager, Johnson County Community College
Lisa Gartland began her career in the insurance industry, then moved into Human Resources. She has been with the Office of Human Resources at Johnson County Community College since 2015, and is currently the Employment Services Manager. Lisa graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Communication Studies and is currently pursuing an MA in Management with a concentration in Human Resources from Rockhurst University. She looks forward to serving with the CUPA – HR Kansas Chapter.
Nela Bruner, Staff Development Specialist, Kansas City Community College
Nela Bruner has been with Kansas City Kansas Community College since 2013. She is now the Staff Development Specialist in the Human Resources Office. Within this position she promotes personal and professional development for the staff and faculty at KCKCC. Nela was previously the Treasurer and now the Corresponding Secretary for Staff Senate at Kansas City Community College. Nela also serves on the board for Kansas City Professional Development Council.
