Update: Open Chapter Board Positions

The CUPA-HR Kansas Chapter Board of Directors is seeking three replacement positions effective July 1, 2018 and we need you!  The positions that are available are:

Chapter President-Elect: This board position serves as a special aide to the President, and assumes all presidential duties in the absence of the President.  The President-elect serves as Chair of the Annual Conference Planning Committee charged with planning and implementing the annual conference and meetings of the chapter.  The President-elect serves a one-year term in this appointment for 2018-19, serves as Chapter President the following year for 2019-20, and Past President the year after that in 2020-21.  The appointment of this position requires a three-year service commitment on the board of directors.

Chapter Treasurer: This board position shall ensure that the Chapter operates on sound fiscal principles.  The Treasurer is responsible for presenting the Chapter’s annual budget and periodic financial reports to keep the Board of Directors informed of the Chapter’s fiscal status.  In addition, the Treasurer works closely with the Conference Planning Committee to process conference sponsorship funds, conference participant fees, and conference expenses.  The Treasurer serves a two-year term and this appointment would be effective July 1, 2018-June 30, 2020.

Chapter Secretary: This board position shall record all official actions of the Board of Directors and of the membership at the Chapter’s annual business meeting.  The Secretary serves a two-year term and this appointment would be effective July 1, 2018-June 30, 2020.

  • Share your experience in higher education human resources and what you hope to specifically contribute to the CUPA-HR Kansas Chapter.
