Chapter Board Nominations
The CUPA-HR Ohio Chapter board of directors is seeking nominations — self-nominations and nominations of colleagues — for the board positions of President-Elect and Treasurer. Board members have the opportunity to engage with and support colleagues working in the Ohio higher education community. Joining the Chapter Board is not only an opportunity to give back to the Higher Ed HR community but also a chance to further develop your leadership skills, expand your professional network, and enhance your resume.
The Chapter’s President-Elect begins a three-year service commitment (year one- President Elect; Year two- President; Year three- Past President). As President-Elect, you work closely with the current president to understand the role and responsibilities of chapter leadership by participating in decision-making and learning about the organization's operations. The president-elect is involved in event planning, membership engagement, and learning and development activities.
The Chapter’s Treasurer sustains our good financial standing by managing and advising on the chapter’s budget, approving and processing payments, and creating an annual financial report. This position is a two-year service commitment.
Please note, these executive board positions must be filled by those who are part of institutions that are CUPA-HR members.
If you are interested in serving or have any questions about the responsibilities and expectations associated with serving on the Chapter Board, please reach out to Mary Beth Walter, Past-President, at [email protected] or Jennifer Rick, President at [email protected].
Nominations are requested by April 3 and board terms will begin July 1, 2024. Nominations should include the name and institution of the nominee as well as a statement of interest. The statement can include a brief overview of the nominee’s contributions to higher education and outline their interest in CUPA-HR.
We look forward to the possibility of working together to elevate the impact of CUPA-HR in Ohio.
