The New York Metro chapter of CUPA-HR is soliciting nominations or declarations of candidacy for the positions of President-Elect and Program Chair. Both positions will begin on July 1, 2009 continuing until the following June 30.
The President-elect shall serve as the special aide to the President, and shall assume all presidential duties in the absence of the President. The President-elect will work with the Program chair to plan and implement the annual conferences and meetings of the chapter.
The Program Chair shall plan chapter conferences and meetings with the President-elect and the Board of Directors.
All officers must be listed as a representative of a higher education institution that is a member of the CUPA-HR national organization. All officers must be an employee of a post-secondary higher education institution within the five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester County or another institution in close proximity interested in affiliating with the New York Metro Chapter.
Nominations must be received by Friday, February 27, 2009. Elections will be held at the Spring meeting on March 9, 2009.
