She intended to become a 4th grade teacher, but fell into human resource by accident, loved it, and never looked back. From 1995-2009 she worked in various HR/Administrative positions for Kingman Unified School District, including benefit administration, compliance and employee relations. Since 2009, Jennie has been the Director of Human Resources at Mohave Community College in Kingman, Arizona.

She has over 11 years working as an administrator in higher education. As a generalist her areas of expertise include employee relations, employment, benefits, training and course development, legal compliance, conflict resolution, and EEO. She has also taught human resources, organizational development, leadership and management courses at local colleges and universities in both Bachelor and Master’s programs. In her spare time she has a passion for her playing her autoharp and serving as a volunteer in several nonprofit organizations.

Deric Hall Maricopa Community College District Coordinator, Employee Relations 480-731-8473 deric.hall@domail.maricopa.eduDeric has worked in human resources in higher education for six years. He has held positions as an Equal Employment Opportunity Investigator and Coordinator of Employee Relations. He worked previously as an Adult Probation Officer for Maricopa County, AZ for eight years. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida and Northern Arizona University. He attended the University of South Florida on a full scholarship for men’s soccer. He is currently working on a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership. Deric enjoys coaching youth sports, reading, debating current and world issues, exercising, and motivational speaking.

Josh Mackey, Ed.D, SPHR Maricopa Community College District Center for HR Innovation, Strategy and Planning Director Human Resources 480-731-8270 josh.mackey@domail.maricopa.eduJosh has worked in HR for the Maricopa Community Colleges for over 13 years, including roles at the District Office, Phoenix College, and Estrella Mountain Community College. He currently serves as Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources for Talent Management. He has been involved in and led several HR related projects and initiatives for the district. Much of his focus over the last several years has been on the district’s talent management initiative and his dissertation examined succession planning and talent management for community colleges. His Ed.D. and M.Ed. are in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University where he also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources. Dr. Mackey served as a board member for AZ CUPA-HR in 2005-2006 and is looking forward to rejoining the board in a new capacity.

Jessica Coronado The University of Arizona, Phoenix Biomedical Campus Human Resources Representative 602-827-2033 jrcorona@email.arizona.eduJessica Coronado is currently the Human Resources Representative for The University of Arizona located at the expanding Phoenix Biomedical Campus in downtown Phoenix. In August 2007, she joined The University of Arizona College of Medicine- Phoenix to work closely with organization leaders and professionals in support of human resources activities across the developing campus. She is responsible for Human Resources strategic projects, along with Human Resources’ focused policies and processes on the PBC. Jessica is one of three core members of the PBC CERT team, the entity responsible for emergency management, safety and security on the Campus. Jessica has also been a member of SHRM since 2009 and is excited about the opportunity to become more involved in AZ CUPA.

Christy Drake, CCP, SPHR The University of Arizona Manager, Compensation Analysis 520-626-1038 drakec@email.arizona.eduChristy Drake has over twenty years Human Resources experience and is responsible for the compensation analysis function at The University of Arizona. She has been active in the Arizona Chapter of CUPA-HR since 2006, initially serving in Membership, and has recently assumed the role of Communications Coordinator on the CUPA-HR Western Region Board. Christy is a frequent presenter at the Western Region and National conferences. She earned her BA in English Literature from California State University, Northridge.
